For any of our customers who live near Seal Beach in Southern California the group Save Our Beach is holding a beach cleanup this Saturday, March 28th from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the 1st Street Beach Lot (corner of Ocean & 1st).
Starting this month they will have reusable bags that were donated by EverybodyGreen.com! The bags are made out of recycled water bottles which will be used for future beach clean ups – so no more plastic trash bags – yeah!
As always, along with the now reusable bags, they will also provide protective gloves, (bring your own if you can), along with certificates if you need one for community service credit. They expect they will have a large group this month, so you will not need parking passes in the 1st Street Beach Lot, and if that lot is full – you can park along 1st Street either side from 11am to 2pm even though it’s posted 1 hour parking.
Of course don’t forget the sunscreen and UV protective clothing while you’re out getting some exercise and doing your good deed for the beach. And if the surf is happening at the River Mouth there off of 1st beach, be sure to wear a rash guard shirt.
