To all of our Beach Trading customers who live in the Los Angeles area it’s time to grab your sunscreen and good intentions, get up off the couch this Saturday and participate in one of the many Coastal Cleanup Days happening at beaches all around the County!

This Saturday, September 19th,from 9am to Noon is Coastal Cleanup Day!

Sponsored by Heal the Bay, there are 70 cleanup locations all over the Southland with sites from the coast to miles inland so if you can’t get to the beach you can still help out because as you know, even that cigarette butt tossed out 20 miles from the beach up in Glendale or Northridge will eventually end up in the Pacific Ocean.

Heal the Bay will be providing all you need as far as gloves, bags etc, so all you have to do is show up. Last year they had over 12,000 volunteers collect  over 180,000 lbs of garbage and are hoping to meet or beat those numbers this year.
