Recycling Event – Honolulu

October 16th, 2008 · No Comments

For our customers and readers who live in Hawaii you’ve got a great opportunity to clean out your garages and housesholds next Saturday, October 25th, because that’s when the Roosevelt High School music department is holding a huge recycling event at Stevenson Middle School.

They’re accepting just about everything including FREE towing if you want to donate your old car – you can thank Family Towing for that!

Items that will be accepted include scrap metal, appliances, newspaper and cardboard, recyclable beverage containers, old tires, green waste, batteries, reusable household items and clothing (will be donated to Goodwill), cell phones, printer cartridges, laptop and desk computers, telephone books and magazines, cooking oil and used eyeglasses and hearing aids.

The event will run from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the Stevenson Middle School parking lot, at 1202 Prospect St.

For more information, to get free towing for an unwanted car or to arrange for pickup of items, call 306-1876.

Just about everyone has some clutter and things they want to get rid of – what better way to do some ‘spring cleaning’, properly dispose of some nasty stuff and help the music department at Roosevelt High!!
