Tonight in Hermosa Beach, CA, the South Bay Chapter of the Surfrider Foundation is holding one of it’s popular mixers.

These mixers are a great way to find out about local coastal issues and victories, and gives you a chance to meet Chapter members who are working on these projects. This is the best way to connect with like-minded ocean activists, find out more about what’s going on in the coming months and learn how to get more involved with this local Surfrider Chapter.

Tonight’s mixer will include a special presentation from kids in the Green Ambassadors Program at the Environmental Charter High School. Green Ambassadors is an environmental education program that empowers youth to be agents of change in their communities and world. The program fosters personal growth and leadership skills to help youth tackle the most critical environmental issues facing our planet. They will be presenting on Surfrider’s “Rise Above Plastics” Program, to educate members on the impact plastics have on our lives and the environment.
