Stephanie Gilmore - Round 1

Stephanie Gilmore (AUS), who is the reigning ASP Women’s World Champion, was surfing in perfect form as she claimed a Round 1 victory in the 2-3′ surf at Duranbah Beach, Australia today.

Gilmore, who clinched the ASP Women’s World Title last December, posted an impressive 15.84 out of a possible 20 to take her Round 1 heat.

Another local, Amee Donohoe (AUS), posted a solid 15.67 to beat opponents Serena Brooke (AUS) and Rebecca Woods (AUS) in their Round 1 clash.

Event coordinators were able to squeeze Round 2 into today as well and here are the results of both rounds:
