Opening Day of the 6.0 Lowers Pro at Trestles, CA, USA

SAN CLEMENTE, California (Tuesday, April 29, 2008) – The opening day of the 6.0 Lowers Pro has hit the water in clean, two-to-three foot waves at Lower Trestles, California, and 192 of the hungriest competitors in the world are kick starting their respective campaigns for prize money, valuable ratings points and the highly-coveted 6.0 Lowers Pro Title.

The Association of Surfing Professionals (ASP) World Qualifying Series (WQS) 4-Star event is the third stop on the 2008 ASP North America Men’s Tour, and Tuesday’s action will see the completion of Round 1 as well as the opening eight heats of Round 2.

The 6.0 Lowers Pro also holds the prestige of being the opening event of the 2008 Macy’s California Trifecta Surf Series (an ASP North America Specialty Series), and the this week will see past Trifecta champions Nathan Yeomans (San Clemente, CA), Adam Virs (Ventura, CA) and Asher Nolan (Jacksonville Beach, FL).
