Fishing for Salmon from a Sea Kayak in Alaska

September 24th, 2008 · No Comments

Alaska’s Inside Passage is cold and nutrient rich, providing a terrific habitat for salmon. Exploring by sea kayak leaves little room for rods and reels so why not try using a hand line?

Perfect for the small storage areas of a sea kayak, hand lines aren’t delicate and take up little room. Unlike rods and reels, hand lines don’t require maintenance that would be tough to find out in the wilds of Alaska.
